Meet My Friend Toni
My good friend Toni Montgomery, Community Relations Coordinator at AmeriChoice, has been busy designing activities to help attract younger members to the credit union along with her fellow AmeriChoice employees.
In fact, the Filene Research Institute recently named Toni as one of the group's initial "30 Under 30" Executives who develop products and services designed to attract younger members. As 2007 Credit Union Ambassador of Pennsylvania, Toni attended the National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) conference in San Antonio as a representative of Pennsylvania credit unions.
As part of her day-to-day duties, Toni organizes and promotes youth clubs at AmeriChoice, including our Dollar Dog Kids ClubSM and programs for older students. Toni has also been instrumental in developing student-run branches at East Pennsboro High School and Central Pennsylvania College. She even teaches financial literacy classes, helping ninth grade students focus on cultivating life skills such as setting financial goals, creating budgets and learning about credit management. As you can see, Toni is a busy woman!
Last May, Toni was named Pennsylvania State Youth Ambassador by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association. Way to go, Toni! We can all learn how to better attract and attain younger members at the credit union from examples such as hers.
Thank you for all your help, Toni, and thank you to all my friends who are reading and helping spread the credit union message! |
